KCC has sixteen primary webpages and on this webpage, the goal is to help all businesses and persons interested in or overlapping with the cinematography industry, to be networked together as there is no other singular webpage attempting to link hundreds of local, regional, national, and international resources all in one place.
Our other webpage has upcoming KCC events as well as non-KCC events. We strive to list all cinematography events such as casting calls; premieres; film festivals; job opportunities; etc., to keep the community informed of such events. We welcome you submitting information as it can be a challenge to seek out all of these details.
There are links for casting companies; talent agencies; talent schools, etc., and those folks place a greater emphasis on their specializations than what will be attempted herein. Please view the links to those companies (below). Please see our disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

Gareth Jones Guitarist, Sound engineer, teacher. Louisville, Kentucky
Patrick is a remarkable young man who was born without eyes and without the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs, making him unable to walk. Additionally, two steel rods were surgically attached to Patrick's spine to correct scoliosis.
Despite circumstances that seem overwhelming to you and me, Patrick has overcome these physical issues to excel as a musician and student. Patrick started playing the piano at the age of only nine months, and also plays the trumpet and sings. He even participates in the University of Louisville School of Music Marching and Pep Bands with help from his father (Patrick John Hughes), who tirelessly maneuvers his wheel chair through the formations with the other 220+ members of the Cardinal Marching Band. Patrick is usually a straight 'A' student, having received only 5 'B's' since 6th grade up to and including his freshman year of college.
A virtuoso pianist, vocalist and trumpet player, Patrick has won or finished very high in numerous competitions, as well as winning awards acknowledging the circumstances he has overcome to achieve these heights. He has been featured on ESPN, ABC-TV, Oprah, CBS-TV, FOX-TV, CSTV, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and many, many others. Patrick has made appearances from California to Chicago to New York and Miami and countless points in between, even performing in South America and Europe.

Cloigheann
For the past 15 years it seems Cloigheann (pronounced klog-in) has had as many member configurations as it
does possible ways to misspell the band's name. The band's unique blend of "Bluegrass/Greengrass" makes
them a one-of-a-kind traditional Irish and bluegrass roots ensemble - generating a solid mix of original
composition and traditional Irish reels, jigs, aires, songs and more.
The band members are Larry Green (fiddle, backing vocals), Cathy Wilde (flute, whistle), Donald Caffrey (bodhran, bones), Mike Schroeder (mandolin), Steve Cooley (banjo, dobro, backing vocals) and Mark Rosenthal (guitar, vocals).
Founded in 1991 by Mark Rosenthal and Roy Livingston, Cloigheann has been playing in, around, on, and in some cases under the regional Irish music scene ever since. From festivals to pubs to concerts to house parties and weddings, it's all the same to us - great music, and great craic wherever we make it.

Glengarry Bhoys from
Ontario, Canada
Glengarry Bhoys Biography
A passion inspired by their respective musical backgrounds; skills honed in the Glengarry melting pot music scene; an against-the-trend-pig-minded-approach to playing their self-penned songs in the battle scared pubs of Eastern Ontario, were the necessary ingredients that spawned what is now an internationally acclaimed alternative-roots band: the Glengarry Bhoys.
Described as bold, unorthodox, vibrant, and evocative, the Glengarry Bhoys hybrid of Canadian Highland Scots and French Canadian musical idioms has evolved into a sound that is weighty, authoritative, and extremely entertaining.
Graham Wright, the charismatic songsmith's material, although edgy and challenging, never strays too far from his native Scottish roots. His colleague, Gaye Stuart Leroux (Ziggy), is also a graduate of the "Graham Wright Band." He cut his percussive teeth in drum corps such as the 1980's successful Grade 1 Dunvegan Pipe Band, ceilidh bands like the Brigadoons, underpinned by a healthy exposure to Glengarry kitchen ceilidhs throughout his youth: A rhythmical palate that assisted in building this unique world-beat Glengarry Bhoys danceable groove.
A Glengarry Bhoys show is both a musical and visual experience. Blending old and new their music is stirring and unerringly nuanced always within earshot of the melodic Scottish tradition!
Their years of determined touring and consistent output have cemented their status at the top of the independent alternative-roots scene. In the United States, they are a marquee act on the Music Festival circuit, as well as their concert and club shows, which draw crowds usually associated with significant pop acts of today. In Canada, their appeal is much at the same pace, most tellingly evidenced by their continual placing in top ten purchases made through major online retailers such as "Maple Music."

IMRO is a national organisation that administers the performing right in copyright music in Ireland on
behalf of its members - songwriters, composers and music publishers - and on behalf of the members of the
international overseas societies that are affiliated to it. IMRO's function is to collect and distribute
royalties arising from the public performance of copyright works. IMRO is a not-for-profit
organisation.
Music users such as broadcasters, venues and businesses must pay for their use of copyright music by way of
a blanket licence fee. IMRO collects these monies and distributes them to the copyright owners involved.
The monies earned by copyright owners in this way are known as public performance royalties.
IMRO is also prominently involved in the sponsorship and promotion of music in Ireland. Every year it
sponsors a large number of song contests, music festivals, seminars, workshops, research projects and
showcase performances. Indeed, IMRO is now synonymous with helping to showcase emerging talent in
Ireland.

To begin, remember that it's not the quality of the voice that counts, it's the quality of the delivery.
For those just starting out, I suggest you find a good VO class. This may not be easy in many parts of the
country, but if you live in or near Los Angeles, New York or Chicago, you should be able to find a choice
of classes. Some also exist in other cities, but be sure to check out the credentials of the teaching
staff before you commit. If classes are not available (and even if they are) I recommend a few books that
I believe will give you a running start in the business.
"Secrets of Voice Over Success" by Joan Baker features the viewpoints of more than a dozen working Voice
Actors, including myself. You will learn from their experiences, and receive terrific guidance in the
areas of acting, studio techniques, client relations, and many other areas.
"Step Up to the Mic: A Positive Approach to Succeeding in Voice-Overs" and "You Can Bank on Your Voice" by
Rodney Saulsberry. These books explore critical aspects of VO from the viewpoint of one of the most
successful Voice Actors in the business.
"The Art of Voice Acting" by James R. Alburger. Step by step instruction on developing a voice over
career, including exercises to help strengthen your instrument.
Remember, practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.
# What kind of equipment do I need?
It's a lot less complicated then it was when I was starting out. Today, all you really need to get started
is a computer and a good microphone. There are a number of software programs that you can purchase or
download that will allow you to record, edit and enhance your voice. I suggest you investigate your
options based upon what you can afford. There is new technology that is emerging that will allow you
almost
instant computer access to your clients. ISDN Digital Phone lines are used by most of the top Voice
Actors. This technology can work from your home studios to virtually any place in the world with
the same eauipment.
# What can I do to improve my voice?
Singing lessons always help. You may never perform in Carnegie Hall, but you will improve your breath
control, and expand the range of your vocal delivery. Also, simply using (not abusing) your voice by
reading out loud will, over time, improve the quality and strength of your instrument. Do not think that
smoking and drinking is going to help you develop a deep, rich tone. Smoking and drinking will help you
develop cancer and cirrhosis of the liver. Take care of your voice, and it will work for you.

James Alburger is the author of the book that is considered by many to be the bible of voiceover: The Art
of Voice Acting. He is comfortable on both sides of the mic as voice talent, producer, writer, and
director, and is the recipient of 11 Emmys and numerous other awards for performance, copy writing, and
production. James is recognized as one of the top voiceover and performance coaches in the U.S.
Joan Baker and http://www.secretsofvo.com
Joan Baker is a sound to be reckoned with as one of New York's premier voice-over actors. The We Network,
American Red Cross, American Express, ABC News and Sports, NBC, Roadrunner, SPIKE TV and Disney (she
positively ROARED for the Lion King's national radio campaign!) How about HBO Family, ESPN Classic, WNBC,
Nickelodeon, Chase Bank, SHOWTIME, Fox 5, NBA Entertainment, NICK at NITE, Imus in the Morning, and
countless more. (Did we mention the ABC Super Sign in Times Square?) Joan's extraordinary talent has
generated the spotlight with feature articles in the Hollywood Reporter, Back Stage, Media Week, ADWEEK and
Broadcasting & Cable to mention a few. By the way, Joan is the author of SECRETS OF VOICEOVER SUCCESS,
Compelling stories of the top voice-over actors in the industry, including the one and only, Don
LaFontaine. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Los Angeles native Angela Carole Brown has been a veteran of the L.A. music scene for two decades as a
vocalist, recording artist, and songwriter. She has recorded voice-overs, movie cues, jingles, and CDs for
herself and other artists, including Josh Groban's hit single "You Raise Me Up" on his Closer CD for Warner
Bros. Records; for South Park's Matt Stone and Trey Parker; and for the political documentary Running with
Arnold. She has worked theatre, clubs, concert halls, television, and radio, in the U.S., Europe, and Asia,
including the lead in L.A. Music Award's "2004 Best Rock Opera of the Year" Symphony of the Absurd with
Elvis Schoenberg's Orchestre Surreal at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, and her critically
lauded Off-Broadway, one-woman show, The Purple Sleep Cafe, at Primary Stages' 45th Street Theatre in New
York City.
Network Promo Voice: Fox, CBS, NBC and Food Network Radio Imaging Voice and Trailer Narrator Show
Announcer: Deal or No Deal, 1 vs 100, Identity and Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Quote: "We only need 3
things in life, Something to do, someone to love and something to hope for."
Jonathan Cook is the only man to have read a piece of copy "live-to-air" while skydiving from the space
shuttle. In addition, he has won the Nobel Prize for Enunciation, an Emmy for his work on a show that, due
to ongoing arbitration, can not be named, and is a Roads Scholar (no affiliation with the actual Nobel
Prize, The Emmys, or Rhodes (duh!) Scholar associations/organizations is intended...this is sarcasm, kids.
Anyway, I mean he is a reformed DJ from Chicago who has the dubious honor of being the last DJ/On-air
personality...whatever...to say "97.1 THE Classic Rock Station, KLSX" before signing it over to the talk
format....that one's actually true. Thanks for reading this. Be well! My email is
jonathan@jonathancook.net.
The host of the weekly top 40 show, the number one DJ in Los Angeles for nearly twenty years, and the host
of the morning show on Movin' 93.9 FM in Los Angeles.
Cedering Fox has lent her voiceover talents to countless commercial campaigns including E.P.T., Cadillac,
Toyota, Lubriderm and Fresh Step. Fox made network history as the first woman at ABC to do everything the
men do, launching and voicing promotional campaigns for morning, daytime (all of ABC's soap operas),
primetime dramas, comedies, specials (The Academy Awards) and late night shows. She also has worked
extensively for NBC's Entertainment division (numerous soap operas, dramas and specials including The Emmy
Awards with Don La Fontaine) and NBC's News division (including The Today Show, NBC Nightly News,
Dateline), CBS (Movies, Mini-Series, Specials including Victoria's Secret Lingerie), and CNN. Her voice is
heard on more then a dozen affiliate stations from Sacramento to Boston and she has an extensive resume
voicing Democratic political ads, documentaries (such as last year's award winning A Face for Yulce), and
live award shows including The People's Choice Awards. It's been said that her voice has a unique ability
to cut through, exuding a certain male-ish authority with the natural warmth of a woman. Cedering is the
Artistic Director of WordTheatre, a literary salon in LA, NY and
London that features world class actors and writers performing stories live.
Ben Patrick Johnson grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He escaped at age 22 and moved to L.A. to become
Director of Production for KABC radio. Several years of embarrassment, humiliation and scrapping have
resulted in Johnson achieving some marginal degree of success in voice-overs, most notably at CBS, FOX,
Starz!, CourtTV and for a variety of movie trailers. It is rumored that Johnson is also a somewhat
accomplished novelist, but we were unable to find anyone who's actually read one of Ben's books. Now, at
age 37, Johnson lives in the Hollywood hills with a mixed breed wildcat, six tortoises and a lizard.
John Leader is the voice that launched a thousand romantic comedies, scores of Merchant- Ivory films, and
countless television dramas. John lives in Northridge with his wife Pam, their dog Wizard and a modest
collection of vintage Porsches. If you're looking for a voice to "explain something complicated," John
Leader is your guy. Represented by SBV.
Les Marshak has been the voice of some of Network Television's biggest events. He has been the live
announcer of the Academy Awards three times during the 90's--the voice of the Tony Awards for 21
consecutive years, and most recently the SAG Awards. He has recorded thousands of commercials for Macy's,
having been their lead voice for over 19 years. Les can be currently heard each morning opening the Today
Show on NBC and as Narrator on the Psychic Detectives series on Court TV.
My thanks to Tom Knight and his brilliant staff at Knightyme Studios for the spectacular job of creating
this new website!
Greg O'Neill, the Discount Don LaFontaine. He has a face tailor made for voice OVER, I've been content
picking up Don's leftovers much like the guy making rude noises at the race track, scouring the grounds for
mislaid winning tickets. The voice of Fox News and the literal voice of Stihl, I can be contacted at
gregoneill@roadrunner.com or you can try my agents at Atlas Talent in NYC and see if they return YOUR
calls.
Paul's voice has been heard in almost every media imaginable including commercials, narrations, promos &
trailers, television series, feature films, movies of the week and video games. He is considered one of the
leading voices in the ADR field (Automated Dialogue Replacement), having worked on over 90 television
series and many of the biggest blockbuster movies of recent years. Paul recently received an award from EA
Sports for both his voice-over and on-camera work on "Black", a number-one video game that has sold over
two million copies in the U.S. and Britain. Other recent credits include promos for the Starz Channel and
Fox Sports Network, as well as for industrial clients such as Raytheon and the Boeing Corporation. Paul's
favorite gig of the last few years was narrating the video for the Key Arts Lifetime Achievement Award that
paid tribute to his old pal, Don LaFontaine, at the Kodak Theater in 2005.
Bill Ratner got his start pushing buttons on a radio console at age twelve, and when his voice finally
changed there was no stopping him. From grimy black-box theaters in Minnesota, to "Flint" on G.I. Joe, to
voices-that-will-never-die in Disney World, Bill keeps moving his Hollywood lips for pay, and although
Jeff Bridges once told him, "Cool voice, man," Bill has kept his swelled head to a manageable size. His
proudest professional moment was tagging A Don LaFontaine promo by saying, "Tonight."
Anika played Lorelle in "Dreamgirls" co-starring with Beyonce, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx and Jenifer Hudson.
Anika won a Tony Award for "Caroline and Change." Those who watched the Oscars this year will remember
those beautiful high notes she hit during the Dreamgirls production number.
Rodney Saulsberry is one of the top voice-over talents in the country, and author of two books, You Can
Bank on Your Voice and Step Up to the Mic. For more than a decade he has given voice to many successful
commercial campaigns, including Toyota Camry, Twix, Zatarain's and numerous movie trailers such as, How
Stella Got Her Groove Back, and Dumb & Dumberer.
Ashton Smith is one of the busiest voices in the movie trailer business. He has voiced promos for ABC,
CBS, NBC, FOX, TNT, TBS, CNN, Court TV, A&E, AMC, HBO and ESPN. He was the voice of National Geographic
Channel's Seconds from Disaster and Ripley's Believe It or Not. He is an instrument rated pilot and a
collector of tropical palm trees. Ashton and his family reside in Palos Verdes, California.
D.B.'s films include Gardens of Stone, Memphis Belle, Fire in the Sky, The Cutting Edge, No Man's Land,
Spawn, The Darwin Awards, Yellow, Roommates and Eight Men Out (as Shoeless Joe Jackson). He makes his
debut as screenwriter, producer and director with Two Tickets to Paradise. For many years D.B. was the
voice of Bud Lite and Lincoln cars. His many long form narrations include over 70 episodes of Fox's
"Beyond the Glory." Those with kids may recognize his two Disney characters: Aladar in "Dinosaur" and
Sitka in "Brother Bear." I can be reached through Eric Seastarnd at William Morris: 310 859-4289, or

Randy Thomas, one of the most recognized female voices in America, is the first person, male or female, to
announce the Academy Awards, Tony Awards, and Emmy Awards all in the same year. Making headway for women
in the business, she was the first female to announce the American Film Institute Awards, the Screen
Actors Guild Awards, and the Miss America Pageant. Randy is heard daily with Don on Entertainment Tonight
and The Insider for Paramount Television. Randy is also heard on Disney Channel's "Project Playtime," and
also does radio imaging for many of America's radio stations. She recently completed her first book,
"VOICE FOR HIRE: How to Launch and Maintain a Lucrative Voice-Over Career" in collaboration with
voice-over artist Peter Rofe'. It is due to be released in Spring 2008 by Watson-Guptill and Billboard
Book Publications.
Warm, real, commanding, and sultry, Keri Tombazian blows up the notion that women can't cut through, having
voiced promos for NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, the Fine Living Channel, E! Entertainment, Animal Planet and
trailers for films such as Sideways. Her voice is heard nationally on commercials for Borders Books,
Penzoil,
Aleve, and the fast talking legal chick of Infinity cars. Keri's keen ear and golden voice bring all the
rich
meaning of the written word to life.
SYLVIA VILLAGRAN...the voice of today's Latina. She is the first, and only, woman to do a morning radio
show, en espanol, in Los Angeles on KXOL, "el Sol" 96.3 FM. She was the first Latina reporter for the TV
show Hard Copy and the west coast entertainment reporter for several Telemundo shows including, Ocurrio
Asi, Primera Hora, and Alta Tension. Sylvia is the 'voice' of many commercials, promos, and awards shows
in both English and Spanish, like: Mun2 (dos) Television, Starting Over on NBC, 2006 Writer's Guild Awards
(live), 2006 Latin Billboard Awards (live) on Telemundo, 2006 MTV Latin VMA's (live), and 2005 X Games for
ESPN Deportes. She's also on ABC, VH1, TLC and TCM. Sylvia is the only Latina featured in the book
"Secrets of Voice over Success. Top Voice-Over Actors Reveal How They Did It." How does she do it all?
She answers "I just do."
In 1988, it started out as a folded piece of paper in Dave Sebastian Williams back pocket. Now, it's
blossomed into the Los Angeles Newsstand Voice Over Resource Guide. The only publication for the Voice
Over Industry with current LISTINGS of VO; Recording Studios, Casting Services, Talent Agencies, Training,
Demo Producers, Union Contact Numbers and Session Fees & Use Rates. It continues to grow daily on-the-web
by adding more regions at http://www.VoiceOverResourceGuide.com/.
Beau Weaver has performed in more different media and venues than practically any other voice actor in
Hollywood. He was the voice of Superman and Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four, in the animated
television series, but today works mostly in film and television marketing, trailers and promos. One of
the west coast VO guys to work from a home studio, Beau splits time between LA and the Ojai Valley.
Groomed in gospel, trained in opera, honed in pop, Nita's voice is a remarkable instrument that's
difficult to define, but when you hear her power chops and sweet high tones, you know you are in the
presence of greatness. Pulling all these elements together, Nita has found a beautiful blend of music
that soothes the soul and shares stories from life on this her latest CD LifeStories showcasing her
songwriting and producing abilities as well.
Where does he get his timing? From Mr. Bolerjack's H.S. Music Class, (drummer since 4th grade), Mr Snyder's
Public Speaking Course, conducting the marching Band as Drum Major at football games and parades, or, from
"Hittin'-The-Post" of Top 40 hits on the radio. He didn't make the 'Service' but, wanting to do his part,
Dave got himself invited to join a USO Show, drumming, singing & dancing for our troops on a tour of
France, Italy, and Germany. Could some of his timing come from those long evenings at Ringo's Sunset Plaza
home where he actually sat at "The Ed Sullivan Show set of drums" and traded 8's with Mr. Starr? When
timing is of the essence he's always been there for his fellow VO Actors, especially during his tireless 18
years of coaching some of the VO Industry's timeless voices. In the mid 90's the timing was right when he
opened Dave & Dave Recording Studios and started publishing the Newsstand Voice Over Resource Guide. The
chosen last Jock on 93/KHJ Boss Angeles and one of the first to ISDN & Record from home (under the
staircase in a coat closet), Dave is most recognizable as the un-recognizable voice of thousands of
campaigns.
Santa Claus brought Matt his first tape recorder when Matt was just six years old. Matt discovered his
calling--amazing his friends and annoying adults with taped tall tales. He's still doing it
as Creative Director of the award winning radio production company, Sound Advice, and now as the voice of
numerous movie campaigns, TV promos for ABC, TNT, Fox, CBS, and many others, and enough home entertainment
campaigns to fill up your Netflix queue for a month.
